Ford Tough

This spring I went to a huge outdoor antiques venue in Warrington, Texas. I have been seeing these super cute Coke and Dr. Pepper crates on Pintrest that were being used to hold paints, or other craft supplies. So I went on a mission to find these super cute crates, because I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. My four year old, like most little boys, has tons of hot wheels, by tons I mean, more than I know what to do with. I find them everywhere! They're in the pantry, under my entryway  bench, behind the toilet (at least they're not in the toilet!), in my closet, in random side tables, and just about everywhere else.

So what could be cooler than this . . .
These provide incentive to clean up! Nothing like a sneaky trick to get the kids to clean up after themselves. Plus, it's an awesome display. We put these right above his bed and they're kind of like a fau headboard. I picked these up for about $15-$20 each.

His soccer medals are displayed close by as well. And somewhere in the house are the rest of the hotwheels. . .

I found this vintage bicycle rim in a heap of stuff behind a super cute booth at the antique show. This called out to me and I had no idea what to do with it, but bought it anyways. The color went great in Hayden's room and well with the transportation theme. As I was hanging it up, I knocked over a picture frame he had stolen from my entry table and put in his room. But how perfect did that turn out? I just stuck the picture between the spokes, and now it's ready for a few more pics as well.

Here is his wall, the car crates are to the right of these as well. The whole display created a good mix of vintage and modern which is what I love!
